The Earth Goes 'Round the Sun

At Montessori International where Jack attends Pre-K, they do a birthday celebration for each child. They sing a song called The Earth Goes 'Round the Sun and for each year, the child's parent gets to tell the class what happened that year. This year, Jack turned 5. Can't tell he was loving being the center of attention for his birthday, can you?

Five Months Old

Charlie's 1st trip to the zoo

It was a beautiful day in January to take Charlie for his very first picnic at the zoo! All the animals were out enjoying the warm sunshine and the breeze. Jackson showed Charlie how to feed a giraffe and how high big boys can climb in the trees! Grammie and Papa came too!

4 Months

In January, Charlie turned 4 months old!

Christmas 2010

I was up early in anticipation of the boys waking up for Christmas morning. I showered, put make up on, brushed my hair and waited...and waited...and waited. You would think it was a school morning the way Jack was sleeping in. I finally broke down and woke him up whispering in his ear, "Santa has been here!" He bolted halfway down the stairs before his eyes were fully open. He was SO excited that Santa had brought the Ironman helmet and doll that he has been wishing for. As you can tell from the photos, we all got a kick out it(especially Bryan). Grammie and Papa came later in the morning after we opened our gifts and enjoyed Christmas lunch. We sang Happy Birthday to Papa and Jesus and celebrated with a special birthday cake. We had a lovely 1st Christmas as a family of four.

'Twas the Night Before Christmas...

and all through the house, 2 little boys were stirring and playing with their gingerbread house! LOL, ok, that's it for my attempt at a new version of the old story. We had a great time preparing for the man in the red suit to visit later in the evening. Charlie had more fun with the paper wrapping his Christmas pajamas than the pajamas themselves. Jack and I made our traditional gingerbread men for jolly old St. Nicholas to enjoy when he makes his stop at our house on Country Crossing Way.
