Flowers and Cacti and Butterflies! Oh My!

Today, Jack and I visited the Desert Botanical Gardens and saw the Butterfly Exhibit. It comes to Arizona in the spring and fall every year. In a mosquito-netted tent, you will find thousands of beautiful butterflies, a pond, stream and amazing flowers! Jack wasn't very cooperative with pictures today (sigh, so you will just have to enjoy the scenery. I included some pics of the Wild Flower Trail. So beautiful! I could have just stayed there all day long.....

Talkin' 'Bout the Car Wash!

There are not many things in life more exciting to a little boy than playing in water. Mommy gave Jack some soapy water and a sponge to wash his tricycle and dump truck. This kept him busy for some time. Busy Jack=Happy Mommy because that means he is not eating deodorant! Ha ha!

It's so hard to say goodbye

As Grandpa and Betsy's trip comes to an end, we are grateful for the memories we have made. A trip to the zoo and some time in the backyard with our resident gardener, Jack, round out a wonderful visit! We miss you. Come again soon!

Just Horsin' Around

We all took time out for a play break at the park! As you can see, I think Daddy and Grandpa had the most fun:)

Grammie and Papa come for Easter lunch!

Ham, sweet potato casserole, lemon berry trifle.....mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Grammie and Papa came to celebrate Easter with all of us. We all enjoyed watching Jack hunt eggs filled with chocolate and coins for his bank. Here are a couple of pics from the day!

A Tisket, A Tasket, Jack gets an Easter Basket!

Easter morning was an adventure! Jack almost caught the Easter Bunny jumping over the fence. He was thrilled to find a special basket with goodies just for him, including a squirt bottle and bunny ears. Grandpa and Betsy were easy targets once Jack figured out how to aim his squirt bottle.

Grandpa and Betsy Arrive!

Jack was very excited to see Grandpa again and to meet Betsy, Grandpa's main squeeze(you would have to know us to know why that is funny!) We had lunch at Tia Rosa's and Betsy tried to teach Jack to crochet!

Great Nana comes to town

Jack's great grandma came to town this week. We made the trip across town to see her and Aunt Gigi and his cute cousin, Porter. Here are some pics from our across town adventure.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today is Bryan's 31st birthday! Unfortunately, he has to go to LA for work this morning, so we celebrated with dinner at Oregano's last night and a strawberry cream cheese stuffed french toast this morning(Bryan's fav)! A birthday wouldn't be a birthday without cake! Jack has been saying "Happy Birthday Daddy!" all morning and couldn't wait to help Daddy blow out his candles!

Oh....Mondays!

Today has been interesting to say the least! This morning my ever precocious 2 year old decided that he wanted to know what gel deodorant tastes like! Yes folks, he took a BITE out of my deodorant! I had to call poison control and they said that he might vomit(he didn't)and that he would be just fine:) After protesting nap time, Jack decided to help me clean the bathroom and squirted cleaner in his eye! (Thank goodness we use Seventh Generation) And no, I do not let him play with cleaner, but if you turn your back for a minute he could cross the state line! A second call to the Poison Control and one eye flush later, I thought it is time to get outside! So, we blew bubbles and I think Jack drank more bubble soap than anything! It was a rough day in regards to ingesting chemicals! Wish us luck for tomorrow.

Party! Party! Party!

So, Jack had a blast at Drew's 2nd birthday party. They had a bounce house for all the kids and it was the perfect entertainment for a houseful of 2 year olds.Today, Grammie and Papa took Jack to dye Easter eggs. Bryan and I got some much needed date time while he was away! We got door to door pick up and drop off service, so thank you to Mom and Bill! (She even brought us homemade chicken soup to boot!) We had dinner at Eric's tonight...bbq chicken and ribs! Yum! Sorry to say we didn't make it to the butterfly exhibit due to the rain, but it will make a nice diversion for Jack while Daddy is gone this week!

The other man in my life

Bryan just got back from Tucson today and Jack was sure happy to see him. He has been working hard to take care of us and lately that means that he isn't home alot! Sometimes I forget just how handsome he is! Thank goodness for homecomings:) Here are a couple pics of my darling husband.

It is shaping up to be a busy weekend with Drew's birthday party tomorrow and possible going to see the butterfly exhibit on Sunday. The Desert Botanical Gardens have this event twice a year. They have an enclosed mosquito net tent with a little stream, beautiful flowers in bloom and BUTTERFLIES! So magical for the little ones!

Ahhhh.....sand!

Thrilling! That is the only word that can be used to describe the way Jack feels about sand. Here he is as happy as a pig in mud.

Zane is Here!

Jack has a new cousin! Zane Alexander Peyer was born today at 11am. He weighed in at a healthy 8lbs. 2oz. and 20" long. Here is a picture of James and Gina's new bundle of joy. I am sure Teyah is a very proud big sister today. Good luck with the diapers and sleepless nights kids.

Bella's Birthday Party!

Today we had the pleasure of going to Bella's 2nd birthday party! She and Jack are 17 days apart, so it is fun to see how they grow together. Jack had lots of fun in the bounce house and, of course, eating CAKE! He even remembered to help sing "Happy Birthday" to the birthday girl. What a guy! Here's a picture of Bella enjoying some of her birthday cake!

Into the 21st Century!

Hello All! Well I figured this would be the easiest way for everyone to keep up to date on The Schwieger Three! I was inspired by seeing Sarah and Chanda's blogs(Bryan's cousins) on this site, so here I am creating my own. Now you can view pictures of our sweet boy anytime you like(maybe I won't have to drive you crazy with so many emailed photos!) I can't help it! I am one proud Momma:) Here are a few pics taken in our living room this morning!
