Rainy Day Wonders

I got out my spices for Jack to smell. He LOVES the vanilla and cinnamon! If you look closely, you can see he has a vanilla 'stache. That kid.....

Mommy's hot chocolate warms the body and the soul!

And of course, you have to build a fort to hide in! Jack protected me from the imaginary wolves and coyotes that were hunting for us!

We made fruit stamps and fingerpainted! Jack loves the feel of wet paint on his fingers which is ironic because if he gets food on his hands he cannot continue eating until he is spotless!

Don't you wish everyday was a rainy day?

Playboys!

Last week, we visited some of our friends from our old neighborhood. The boys played in the sand, gave eachother rides in the covered wagon and last, but not least, took turns yelling at the "alligators" that live in the manhole drain at the park!

Jack and His Bear "Pup"

The other day as I was unpacking yet ANOTHER box, I found this little bear that his great grandma, Jokki, had given him during our last visit. Jack absolutely loves this bear! After school today, he carried him around the backyard asking bear pup questions like, "what did you learn in school today?" and "would you like a healthy snack?" I wonder where he gets such questions! It was such a beautiful spring like day today that Jack just had to strip down to his birthday suit. Oh to be 3! Anyway, I took tons of pictures of his adventures with bear pup and thought I would share them with you. I don't really need to tell the story, the pictures speak for themselves.

Crayons with Heart

Jack's birthday is coming up and it just so happens that he will be in school on his birthday. It also just happens to be the day that the school will celebrate Valentines Day. So, this morning Jack and I got started on making some heart shaped crayons to give to his classmates on that day. We will also be making some cute little lollipop flowers too, so stay tuned for picture of that adventure!

The New Cubicle

Here is Jack's office. Let's hope this isn't the future of the cubicle!

Time to Say Goodbye

After 4 days of laughing, drinking wine and playing with Jackson, it was time for April to get back to Sacramento. We hated to see her go and Jack has been telling me that he misses her daily. She has threatened to come back in April and bring her beloved, Evan. We hope she makes good on that threat! We miss you April and we love you tons!

The Olive Mill

Jack and I took April to one of our favorite lunch spots, The Olive Mill in Queen Creek. They produce locally grown olives on 100 acres and sell olive oil, whole olives, goat cheeses, etc. They make the most fabulous sandwiches and antipasto plates and also offering tours and olive tasting! They recently opened up a new patio and a small olive orchard with picnic benches where we enjoyed the weather while we had lunch. Jack had a great time making wishes in the wishing well and running through the olive trees. I wish I could spend days like that with my sister and our little Jack more often!
