In the spirit of the season

One of my favorite traditions every year is making salt dough ornaments with Jackson. It reminds me of Christmas when I was a little girl. My mom would make up the dough and James and I would punch out little shapes with a cookie cutter or make free form sculptures. She would bake them in the oven and we would wait impatiently for them to be cool enough to paint with markers and NAIL POLISH! When I had children, I couldn't wait until Jack was old enough to do this with me. Here he is making his special contributions to our family Christmas tree. I know one day when he is all grown up with children of his own, I will be able to relive Christmases past with these little treasures.
