A Very Merry Christmas

After my parents left on Christmas Eve, it was time to put out the gingerbread men, a glass of milk and some carrots for the reindeer. Jack and I crawled into his new big boy bed and settled in to read a story called The Sweet Smells of Christmas given to him on his first Christmas from his Nannie and Pop. It took some doing, but I finally got Jackson to stay in his bed to listen for the jingle bells on the sleigh that would be carrying many Christmas gifts from Santa Claus! Bryan and I worked feverishly to make sure the train table was put together, his stocking was filled and everything was ready for Jack to come down the stairs on Christmas morning. Grammie and Papa arrived at 6am to be here for the moment Jack realized that Santa had been here. The little person who came down the stairs that magical morning was more Grinch than Who, but he gradually warmed up and went to town! We had a wonderful day playing with Jack's toys, eating a delicious holiday meal and enjoying the gift that is family!
